Our condolences are extended to the following families : 

Sister Audrey and Brother Dudley Tademy and family in the loss of her sister, Mary Floyd, in Mt. Sterling, KY.  Services were held on Saturday April 22nd.

Deacon Stanley Lamb and Patrecea Lamb in the passing of his mother, Sister Sarah Lamb on April 20th.  Arrangements are incomplete at this time.   


We acknowledge thank you notes from the Clark, Jackson and Samuels families thanking the church for all of the expressions of sympathy extended to them in the loss of their loved one, Rev. Lawrence Samuels; and from Sister Patricia Barber and family in the passing of her mother Sister Edith Hill.   

To the Mt Olive Family: Thank you for your love, support and prayers during the illness and recent passing of our daughter Kate.  You treated us as family and we will always thank God for you.  A very special thank you to Pastor Victor for his caring visits with Kate.  With the Love of Christ; from Pastor Nelson and Sister Jessica Okello.

Our Quarterly Church Business Meeting will take place Thursday, April 27th at 7 p.m.  You will find the agenda in today’s bulletin.  All members are encouraged to attend.


Spring Revival is on the way!  Beginning Monday, May 15th and continuing through Wednesday, May 17th, Mt Olive will hold our annual Spring Revival services. Our revivalist for these three nights will be The Rev. Dr. Alyn E. Waller, Senior Pastor of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA.  Plan now to come out for a time of renewal and refreshing as we worship.  


Each year, with your help, the MOBC Annual Scholarship golf classic, sponsored by the Fitness and Wellness Ministry, raises scholarship funds for high school seniors.  You can help again this year.  Registration for the golf classic is open and available online at the church website. The tournament will take place Wednesday May 17th at the Woodlawn Golf Course, Ft. Belvoir, VA.  See today’s bulletin for additional information.


Save the Date! The Elderlites Ministry is pleased to announce the celebration of Older American's Month, May 2017.   Each year we honor our seniors and this year the Senior Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, May 20th at 11:30 a.m.  This will be an informative and fun afternoon as we talk about “aging out loud”.  More details to come.

Important Membership Update:  We are currently in the process of updating our membership database and need your participation. Consistent with our Church's Vision Statement, we plan to use this information to foster effective and efficient communication among our membership. Church officials (including ministry leaders) will sometimes use this information to occasionally outreach to you and to notify you of selected church activities, cancellations of events, road/street closures, and other relevant information. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect on this profile.  We need for all of our members, including our young adults and youth to have a completed membership profile which is available online for your convenience.  To submit Online, go to Mount Olive's web homepage at www.mtolivebc.org, click on the Resources tab at the top of the page and select Membership Information Update. Parking Notice:  If you park on S. 13th Road in front of the church, please do not block the curb-cut in front of the access ramp that leads to the church entrance.  We have received a request from Metro Access to keep this area clear.  This will allow the drivers to properly assist our disabled congregants in departing from the van in safety. We appreciate your cooperative spirit in helping us to be a welcoming and accessible community.
